When Chloe Lusted first met her future husband, James, she admits she was a bit apprehensive about what people would say about the height difference between then.

The 27-year-old stands at 5ft 4in while James, who suffers from a rare type of Dwarfism known as Diastrophic Dysplasia, is 3ft 7in.

But realising the attraction the couple soon realised their height made absolutely no difference to them and quickly fell in love.

Now, the have been awarded the Guinness World Record for the greatest height difference between a married couple – and they couldn’t be happier.

She said: “There is someone out there for everyone, and it perhaps won’t be who you imagine.

“I hope that our love story teaches others that you can never judge a book by its cover and everyone has their own personal story underneath what they look like.”

Teacher Chloe admits that she used to be attracted to taller men but said that all changed when she met James, who works as an actor and TV presenter.

They were introduced at a local pub through a mutual friend in 2012, shortly after James had carried the Olympic torch through their home town, Rhyl, Clwyd, in Wales.

Chloe was a student living in Cardiff, but the pair decided to give it a go despite the long distance.

They quickly fell in love and officially became a couple in December the following year, and just seven months later James proposed during a romantic trip to a lake in north Wales.

They tied the knot in 2016 and are now proud parents to two-year-old Olivia.

When James was growing up he often worried if he would ever meet someone special and fall in love, but now believes his happy family is proof there is someone out there for everyone.

He said: “I came to a point where I had to say to myself that dwarfism doesn’t own me, I own dwarfism.

“I just wanted to be the same as everyone else and I just wanted to live my life in a big way, in a little body.”
